Just when you thought the only thing getting revoked in 2025 was your Netflix password sharing privileges, here comes President Donald Trump with a presidential memorandum that feels more like a high school grudge than a national security measure.
The memo, signed with what we can only assume was a Sharpie and a grudge, revokes former CISA chief Chris Krebs’ security clearance, and calls for a full review of everything CISA’s done since back when TikTok dances were still kinda original.
Why? Because Krebs had the audacity to tell the truth in 2020, calling the presidential election “the most secure in American history.” Apparently, that’s enough to get your badge and keys revoked—cyber style.
Cybersecurity Joke Break:
Why did the disgruntled ex-president launch a clearance review?
Because someone cleared their cache… and it wasn’t him.
Krebs, now with SentinelOne and heading their PinnacleOne advisory group, responded like a true cyber pro: calm, classy, and reminding everyone that “We did it right.” Meanwhile, Trump’s memo reads like someone trying to reformat history using Notepad.

The memo also casts a suspicious side-eye at SentinelOne, requesting a review of anyone remotely associated with Krebs. The company responded with, basically, “We’ll cooperate, but we’re still going to be the adults in the room.”
Because while one side is obsessed with revoking access, the other is busy defending actual infrastructure from real threats—like ransomware gangs, espionage malware, and nation-state attackers who don’t even tweet in English.
Another Cyber Joke? Why not:
What’s Trump’s favorite cybersecurity tool?
Access Denied.
